As a parent on a budget we know that every penny counts. A great way to make save some money is by making something old into something new.
A great idea that I have seen and can’t wait to try is turning a crib into a desk. I am totally excited to try this when Little Brother grows out of his crib.
Another totally cool idea I read about on a Freecycle group I belong to is turning an old dresser into an island in your kitchen. Add some wheels to the bottom of the legs and get a piece of counter top to add to the top and VOILA extra counter space AND extra storage thanks to the drawers.
Of course not everything has to be changed into something to be new again. It is amazing how a little elbow grease and a fresh coat of paint can give something old and drabby new life. Look around. I am sure your very own house has something you can breathe new life into.
I will admit. I am not much of a cereal fan these days. However when the Honey Nut Cheerios Hearty Oat Crunch showed up in the mail I ordered my cereal loving family members to NOT touch it. I am so happy I did. I am loving the new cereal with the cheerios we know and grew up with mixed with the crunches of Hearty Oat. Mama is in love and back to eating cereal for breakfast.
