Kid K’Nex Big Building Tub – Review & Giveaway

We have never bought Little Man K’Nex before but we are a big LEGO household and he loves to build things all the time. He usually just builds towers and bridges but it still counts. The Big Building Tub arrived and right away Little Man was excited to see that the mail man had brought something for him. We had the camera ready and Tobei snapped lots of pictures as we started playing with the new toy. However they weren’t they greatest pictures ever taken. let me apologize in advance.

When we opened the tub we found an insert that showed us different things we could build with the pieces that were included. I found this pretty handy considering I am not a creative person by any means. Score 1 point for K’Nex for helping out us parents.

K'Nex Insert

I proceeded to wrestle Little Man for the pieces to build something that even remotely resembles how it looked on paper. I am not sure what it is supposed to be. I called it a bird but who knows. It was super easy to piece together. I guess it is score -1 point for Mom though since the set is recommended for 3+ and I am just a few years past that age.

K'Nex Animal

After I was happy with my build I left Little Man to play with the set himself. He had a great time playing with it and the set is now one of his favorite things to play with. The pieces are big enough to not be too complicated for his little hands and the pieces that are meant to bend have no resistance and he is able to shape them as he pleases. I have woken up quite a few mornings now to find him playing with his K’Nex beside my bed. I know what is on our list of new toys for him. More K’Nex sets. Not only does he enjoy playing with them but so do we. If your child loves to be creative and build things I would highly recommend considering K’Nex as their next new toy.

This is what Little Man usually ends up building for us. If we take it apart as it is time to pick up toys he will just rebuild it as soon as he wakes up.
