A Mother’s Love
A Mother’s Love runs deep
More profound than her child will ever know
It isn’t until her daughter holds her own
Will she possibly comprehend the meaning of love
I never truly knew how my mother felt about me
Until I held my son
It was at that moment I understood
Just how much she cared
We finally shared a bond
So common, yet so miraculous
I looked to her for guidance
And she gave it to me without judgement
Her kind words and advice
Came quickly to reality
She was my mentor and my friend
Without her I was lost
So many times she had gone
Above and beyond the call of a mother
I wanted to say, “Thank You”
And convey how grateful I was
For everything she had done
Not just while I was a mother
But especially for when
I was her daughter.
Why is it mothers only get all kinds of attention on mother’s day and their birthday? They deserve so much more.
Mom I love you. You have been an amazing mother and best friend. No words can describe how much you mean to me and my family. You are always there for us and never turn us away no matter what time of day or night we phone you for help. I wish we could see you more often but at least we got free long distance. Thank you for being my mom, Tobei’s mother-in-law and little man’s grandma. We are the luckiest people in the world to have you.

Yes today is dedicated to my mom. See those pretty flowers at the top? Those are the flowers that arrived at my moms house today. No reason. Just because we love her. I wish we could see her more often but the military moved us away and life likes to get in the way. I don’t think I tell her often enough what a great job she did raising me and I appreciate it.
